Under the Tree
Drop-in Outdoor Workshops for kids 6 through 12
Saturdays and Sundays 10 to noon
August 7 & 8, 2010
August 14 & 15, 2010
Let your kids learn the basics of woodworking with John Edwards under the old apple tree. We can retreat indoors if the weather turns damp.
In this program the kids will make simple projects like a name board, bird-house, CD-shelf or a small tool box. They'll learn how to use a hand saw, hand drills, safe use of a hammer to nail boards together, using sandpaper to finish the project. Additional creative points are awarded for decoration with paints or crayons.
John is truly gifted with children (not counting his own three) - his gentle and encouraging manner keeps kids on track and learning for the whole session.
Class fee is $15 per meeting & includes materials.
Note: These sessions are literally drop in - if there is space you can drop your kids off or stay and participate.
We do not take on line registration for these classes. Please call John (360) 385-6840 to check on availability.
