Introduction
Carcass Essentials is the culminating class of our Basics of Woodworking Series. In this class we look at the design and construction techniques you would use to build a small cabinet or side table with a drawer.
Building on the Frame and Panel Essentials class we show you how to design and build the entire carcass of cabinet. There are discrete and simple techniques to build the support and guides for a drawer.
This class will be more a lecture and demonstration class than a hand-on class. We assume that you will have a level of familiarity with hand tool woodworking equivalent to taking all the joinery classes in this Basics of Woodworking Series.
