Charles Brock
Furniture Maker

Charles Brock

Charles has been building fine furniture since 1979. He is the host, executive producer, and co-creator of The Highland Woodworker, a quarterly web-based TV show. He has crafted over 200 furniture commissions of reproduction and contemporary tables, chairs, beds and chests and made appearances on the Martha Stewart Show and at Popular Woodworking's annual Woodworking in America conference.

"Teaching woodworking combines my experiences as a teacher (30 years public schools) and woodworker. My current work is greatly inspired by the late Sam Maloof, an icon of modern woodworking."

When he is not working with wood or developing the Highland Woodworker show, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sheila,  daughters, Keri and Emily, son-in-law Stephena and granddaughter, Ava. His hobbies include playing drums in the church orchestra, guitar, harmonica and dobro.
