David Kotz

David KotzBackground

David Kotz, is a lifetime resident of Bainbridge Island, Washington where he has cultivated a knowledge and love for the trees of the Northwest.

His studio, Coyote Woodshop, has been a destination for architects, interior designers, furniture builders and contractors for more than 20 years.

"I revere trees, and my way of honoring them is to bring out their inner beauty.

"To create Coyote wood, I gather logs from local backyards, urban areas and forests. I spend a lot of time with the wood. I look at it from different angles. Then I come up with a way I can mill it to make something really beautiful."
