Learn to make a writing instrument with visiting instructor and master pen-wright Daniel Pittsford. After this fun, and surprisingly easy 6 hour class, you will be able to sit down at your lathe and turn out beautiful, one-of-a-kind, high-quality pens and mechanical pencils that will make superb presents for the Holidays and any other special occasion.
While you are at it, make one for yourself to go with the Thomas Jefferson laptop desk that you always wanted to build someday! As a bonus, Daniel will provide each student with a CD that includes additional pen-making instructions and tips; links to websites for resources; and some instructional videos that review what you learned in class.
Daniel will also cover low cost methods of sharpening of turning tools.
