Peter Galbert

Before specializing in chairs, Peter Galbert worked as a cabinet and furniture maker in New York City. He now lives and works in Sterling Massachusetts.

In addition to building chairs, Peter teaches classes in chairmaking internationally as well as at his workshop and writes articles for Fine Woodworking Magazine. He is currently writing a book on chairmaking due out November 2013.

Peter invented and produces the Galbert Caliper, a direct measuring tool for the lathe as well as other chairmaking tools.

Besides woodworking, Pete raises goats and chicken and makes maple syrup for his friends.
