Sneak Peek at the 2009 Schedule

Heres a sneak preview of the course schedule for next year. We're still crossing i's and dotting t's, but this should give you a pretty good sense of what we're planning. Some things will change...

In general we're focusing on week long and weekend classes. Starting in January and late September we're offering a five and six week course that can be taken as a block or as in week / two week long chunks. The January course focuses on furnituremaking and the September Course on Cabinetmaking.

There's a slew of guest instructors including Garrett Hack, Bonnie Klein, Darrell Peart, Michael Dresdner, Sandor Nagyszalanczy, Kevin Palo, and Greg Kossow . Plus we can call on Seth Rolland, MIchael Hamilton and and Steve Habersetzer to add depth to our classes.

Our very own Jim Tolpin is branching out to include a couple of courses on Gypsy Wagons and is expanding his Joy of woodworking series to include more depth on hand tools and a project class.

In conjunction with Peninsula College we hope to offer classes on Computer Based Furnuiture Design using Google's Sketchup. We've been working with Dave Richards who blogs for Fine Woodworking's Computer Design Blog.

Courses run 9:00 - 5:00 each day - coffee and lunch are available at the Fort Worden Commons.
